Coming out of high school you don’t really know what you want to do. Being able to try two different careers I was interested in helped me learn that I am more interested in finance than accounting.

I have always liked working with my hands and working outside which has led me to be interested in becoming a mechanic. My parents wanted me to try mechanical and civil engineering to see if college was a better route for me. While I liked learning new things about what these engineers do and it was cool to work on these projects, after doing this program it solidified my desire to never work behind a computer.

OmniLYF has opened many doors for me – from business connections to learning experiences, the program has exposed me to different career paths and provided me greater insight into my own interests. The hands-on projects, the informative meetings with professionals from all types of careers, and the help and encouragement I received from numerous mentors made me feel more assured about my future. Through OmniLYF, I learned a lot about my capabilities which made me less anxious and more excited for what lies ahead.
